Alan was a wonderful neighbour and friend to me. We chatted nearly every day since I moved in next door and I shall miss him terribly. In spite of his sight loss he was always there with a helping hand or with a bunch of flowers if I'd given him a lift somewhere. What a truly delightful, kind and thoughtful man. My heart goes out to his lovely family as they grieve over their sad loss.
