Elizabeth had reached an impressive age but it is still hard to lose a parent. It was wonderful to hear the tributes and see the lovely photos in the service, capturing moments from her long and eventful life, well lived.
Elizabeth and my mum Joan were the best of friends for a great many years, each raising three children, as next door neighbours in Thornhill Road, Ickenham. I have many precious childhood memories, playing happily with Martin in our houses or gardens throughout the sixties. Seeing Elizabeth's many descendants at the funeral was a reminder of the circle of life.
Elizabeth (and Michael and granny Mitchell too) live on in our memories. May your memories be a comfort to you in the sad and difficult times ahead.
